This post demonstrates the step-by-step process to installing The Columnist Wordpress theme and applying it to your blog or website.
1. Download
Download TheColumnist.zip file here or by the .zip icon anywhere on this website. It contains all the necessary files for functionality and styling of the theme.
2. Upload
Upload the unzipped file to your web server into the following Worpdress file structure:
/wp-content/themes/
3. Activate
Go to “Themes” which can be found under the “Appearance” section in the left-hand column of your Admin screen. Within Themes you will see the recently uploaded “The Columnist” appear as an available theme. Go right ahead and activate!
The Columnist is a grid based wordpress theme. It features a newspaper column layout, neat typographic heirarchy, a tidy grid system and some css3 & jQuery greatness.

Hello!
Great theme, but when I click on a thumbnail, or the continue reading below the thumb I get Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
any thoughts?

At the moment the are custom meta fields for “date”, “time”, “price”, “photo” and “rsvp”.
You can use the custom fields from your Edit Post page using the labels I have just mentioned.
